ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a home‑based role, but not a remote position. You will be required to travel extensively across the whole of North Wiltshire to meet families in their homes, schools, and community venues. As a full‑time practitioner, you will hold a caseload of around 20 families, which means travelling across a wide geographical area is a core and essential part of the role.
Provide one-to-one support that strengthens families and builds resilience.
Carry a manageable caseload, offering tailored interventions that create lasting impact.
Work in partnership with schools, health professionals, and community services to get families the right help at the right time.
Champion the voice of families, advocating for their needs and removing barriers to support.
Use your safeguarding knowledge and solution-focused approach to keep children and young people safe and thriving.
Contribute to innovative Family Hub services across Wiltshire, helping to shape stronger communities.
ABOUT YOU
Hold a Level 3 or above qualification in social work, family studies, youth and community work, psychology, or a related field.
Bring experience of supporting children, young people and families, including case management and tailored support planning.
Have strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and early intervention practices.
Communicate with confidence and compassion, building trust with families and professionals alike.
Organise and prioritise a busy caseload, keeping accurate records and delivering positive outcomes.
Work collaboratively with schools, health services, and community partners to coordinate support.
Be adaptable, empathetic, and resilient, with a genuine commitment to empowering families.
Able to travel independently and reliably across the North Wiltshire area to meet the demands of the role.
